Privacy Notice

1. The controller

2. What data, why, and for how long?
Contact form and email enquiries. Data processed: name, email address, phone number (optional), subject, intended budget, the text of the message, and the time and IP address of submission (abuse prevention). Purpose: answering the enquiry, quoting, preparing the contract. Legal basis: steps taken at the data subject's request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); for the IP address, the controller's legitimate interest in filtering out abuse (Art. 6(1)(f)). Retention: if no contract is concluded, 2 years from the enquiry; where a contract is concluded, 8 years together with the accounting records, as required by the Hungarian Accounting Act.
Data of contractual partners. Name, address, tax number, bank account number, contact details of the contact person – for performing the contract and issuing invoices (legal basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation, Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)). Retention: 8 years.
Footage recorded on shoots. The image and voice of participants provided by the client are processed for the purpose of performing the engagement; publication requires the participant's consent under the Hungarian Civil Code, which the client obtains or the Service Provider records in writing at the shoot.
3. Who has access? (processors)
Hosting and email: Cweb Hosting Kft. · Borsó utca 12–32, Building C, 1st floor, door 2, 1173 Budapest, Hungary · cweb.hu – messages from the form arrive in the Service Provider's mailbox, stored on the hosting provider's servers (EU). Invoicing: KBOSS.hu Kft. – Számlázz.hu (szamlazz.hu, EU). Data is not passed to or sold to third parties; it is disclosed to authorities only where required by law.
4. Cookies and third-party services
This website uses no tracking or marketing cookies. Visitor statistics are collected with Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc. as processor): it uses no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across other websites. It records the page visited, the referring page, browser and device type, country-level location and loading times, in aggregate form – an individual visitor cannot be identified from it. Legal basis: the Service Provider's legitimate interest in improving the website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). As it is cookieless, no cookie banner is required. Browser local storage (sessionStorage) is used only so the opening animation is not repeated on every page, and the chosen language is remembered in localStorage; neither contains personal data. Fonts are served from our own server, so no data is transmitted to any third party in order to display them. YouTube links on the site lead to an external site; no embedded player is used.
5. Your rights
You may request access to your personal data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and exercise the right to data portability. Send your request to hello@epicvideo.hu; we reply within 30 days at the latest. Providing data is voluntary, but without the required fields of the form we cannot answer your enquiry.
6. Remedies
You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, Falk Miksa u. 9–11, 1055 Budapest, ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu, naih.hu), or bring proceedings before a court – including the court competent for your place of residence. If you are resident in another EU Member State, you may also contact your local supervisory authority.
7. Security and changes
The site runs over HTTPS and form data reaches the Service Provider over an encrypted channel. The Service Provider may amend this notice; the version in force at any time is available on this page.
