General Terms and Conditions
In force from 9 September 2026 · Courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the Hungarian one; in the event of any discrepancy, the Hungarian text prevails.
1. The Service Provider
Tamás Kelemen, sole trader (brand name: EpicVideo) · Registered seat: Üdülő utca 11, 2252 Tóalmás, Hungary · Sole trader registration number: 56906394 · Tax number: 58384264-1-33 · Email: hello@epicvideo.hu · Phone: +36 70 627 1297 · Bank: K&H Bank · 10403404-50526957-85801009. The Service Provider is a VAT-exempt sole trader; the fees do not include VAT.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to the video, social video, AI visualisation, website and graphic design services (the "Service") provided by the Service Provider on the basis of an individual quotation, as a project-based engagement. The individual quotation and these Terms together form the contract; in the event of a conflict, the individual quotation prevails.
3. Quotation and contract
The Client submits an enquiry via the contact form on epicvideo.hu, by email or by phone. After a free, no-obligation consultation the Service Provider issues a written (email) quotation setting out the scope of work, the deliverables, the deadlines, the fee and the payment schedule. The contract comes into existence when the Client accepts the quotation in writing (by email). The language of the contract is English or Hungarian; the Service Provider does not file the contract separately, it remains available in the email correspondence.
4. Fees and payment
The Service Provider works to a fixed project price set out in the quotation. 40% of the fee is payable as a deposit when the quotation is accepted; the balance is payable on delivery of the final materials. Invoices are payable by bank transfer by the due date shown. In the event of late payment, default interest under the Hungarian Civil Code may be charged. The indicative prices published on the website may be changed at any time; this does not affect the price of an accepted quotation. Separate items: drone footage (external partner), travel calculated from the Service Provider's seat, and any additional work requested by the Client that is not included in the quotation.
5. Performance and cooperation
The Service Provider performs the work in the phases set out in the quotation (first meeting → concept → production → refinement → delivery). The Client may request up to two rounds of revisions in each phase; further changes are charged separately. The Client must supply the materials needed for performance (logo, copy, access, location, participants) in good time; delay here extends the deadline proportionately. The Service Provider is not responsible for materials supplied by the Client (copyright, personality rights, music, trade marks); the Client warrants that these are cleared for use.
6. Shoot days, cancellation, rescheduling
The shoot day is fixed jointly by the parties. The Client may reschedule free of charge at least 5 calendar days before the agreed date; within that period the fee for 50% of the shoot day is payable, and 100% if cancelled on the day itself. Postponement of an outdoor shoot because of the weather is free of charge. Work already performed and costs already incurred (travel, external suppliers) are payable whenever the engagement ends.
7. Copyright and usage rights
Copyright in the completed material remains with the Service Provider (Hungarian Copyright Act). Upon payment of the full fee the Client receives an unlimited, non-exclusive licence in time and territory to use the materials described in the quotation for its own business purposes (online, print, social and sales use, and later reuse). Transferring the licence to a third party, adapting the material or reselling it requires a separate agreement. Raw material (unedited footage, project files, AI workflows) is not part of the delivery unless the quotation expressly includes it. The Service Provider is entitled to show the completed work as a reference in its own portfolio, website and social channels – unless the Client excludes this in writing no later than at delivery.
8. Liability
The Service Provider acts with the professional care that can reasonably be expected. The Service Provider's liability for damage caused under the contract is limited to the amount of the project fee; it is not liable for loss of profit or indirect damage, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. The Service Provider is not liable for factual errors left in material approved by the Client, nor for the operation of third-party platforms (YouTube, Meta, hosting).
9. Special rules for consumers
Where the Client is a consumer (a natural person acting outside their trade, business or profession), under Hungarian Government Decree 45/2014 (II. 26.) they may withdraw from the contract without giving reasons within 14 days of its conclusion. If the consumer expressly requests that performance begin before the 14 days expire, they must pay a fee proportionate to the service already performed if they terminate; once the service has been performed in full, the right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised. A consumer may complain to the Service Provider (hello@epicvideo.hu), to the conciliation board competent for the Service Provider's seat (Pest County Conciliation Board, Balassi Bálint u. 25. IV/2, 1055 Budapest, pestmegyeibekelteto.hu), or to the consumer protection authority. EU online dispute resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/odr.
10. Miscellaneous
The parties will seek to settle any dispute by negotiation first. Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by the Hungarian Civil Code, the Hungarian Copyright Act and Hungarian law. The Service Provider may amend these Terms; amendments do not affect contracts already concluded. These Terms can be downloaded and stored from the website at any time.
